Happy New Year and my 2012 top ten (12)!

Happy New Year dear followers and friends!
2012 has been a busy year for me crafting-wise! My blog has been asleep for the last few years but I have woken it from it's sleep when I discovered the great pleasure of making cards!
I have become a copicsoholic, a distress ink maniac and a Magnolia addict...lol...all great addictions, and I have no plans of recovery...lol.

As usual when I do things I tend to give it everything I have, so I might have taken on a little too much when it comes to designteams and commitments... That's why I am trying to take a step back in 2013 and toning things down a little this year. But I am going to keep making cards, of course! Because this is my passion!

I have made lot of cards since I started in March, I tried to pick my top 10... ehem... okay... top 12...lol.

Wishing you a wonderful and creative 2013!
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving all those kind and lovely comments. It really encourages me and it means the world to me! Thank you so much!
See you in 2013!

Lots of cafty hugs,

LLC Advent Calendar # 23

Hi there friends and followers.

We are getting close...! I hope you are relaxed and ready to celebrate Christmas...lol. Here in Norway the big day is tomorrow, on December 24th. We'll start the day with the kids opening a small present  or two and some candy from the Christmas stocking. The cookies and milk we'll put out for Santa tonight, will probably be gone...wonder where? lol. Around 11 a.m we'l be going to the cemetery to meet up with the rest of our family to light candles on the graves of our family members who have passed away. After exchanging gifts with the ones that wont be celebrating with us in the evening,  we go home to cook! The kids will watch the traditional Christmas cartoons and tv-movies while dinner is getting ready. Then we'll dress up and have a HUGE meal together. And when we are all so full we can't hardly breathe... we will finally open the presents Santa brought and put under the tree during the night:) That's Christmas eve at my house!
No on to the Advent Calendar:)

♥♥♥

It's time to open window #23 of our LLC Advent Calendar, only one more day to go!  Every day from December 1st we have opened a new window for you. Pop over to the  LLC blog to see what's behind  window # 23 today, and join in for a chance to win!

Today I want to show you one of the gift boxes i made as a Christmas present, this one is for a very sweet and talented blogging friend.

I made the box with my score pal, I punched the edges on the lid with a Martha Steward punch before I glued it together  The papers are from the Maja Design It's Christmas time Collection, I used sheets from the 6x6 paper pad. from . The corner dies is from La la land crafts.
All the edges are distressed with Tim Holtz distress ink- walnut stain.

I added white Shabby Seam Binding on the sides and as a bow. The flowers are white Chrysanthemums and the cream berries from  Kort og Godt. The red berries are the Redly Magnolia Vintage Berries. The pins I used (oh I love those pins!) are the  Vintage Pearl Pins, The Vintage Trinklet Heart Pins and the Trinket Mini Heart Pins by Maya Road and I also used cheese cloth. The pearls are a piece of the Pearl Spray.

I used thick white embossing powder on the edges to create that snowy look. I masked the Magnolia Swing stamp with an older sitting Tilda image. For the diecut I used Pion papers (Guardian Angel) and a spellbinder die. The snowflakes are Mangolia Doohickey's. The Magnolias are colored with copic markers.

I filled it with some crafting- goodies for my friend, I hope she likes it!

A quick gift and some gift boxes

Hi peeps!
Just popping by to say a quick hello tonight. I've been busy getting the last gifts and cards ready, wrapped and delivered. Here's a little gift set I made in no time to get a nicer wrapping around a small gift. I also wanted to show you some small gift boxes I made.

The matchbox is covered in red cardstock, and note-papers from the Forever Santa 6x6 sheet by Inkido. I used a Pion Design image and a spellbinder die.  The swirls on the side of the matchbox are by Stempelglede. Roses are from WOC and the sentiment is from Norsk Stempelblad (småtekster). Same around the candles: a small piece of cardstock and lace around the candles, a spellbinder, a sentimentstamp, the swirls again and roses.  I also added a bells charm.

 Some details:)

Here's the matchbox.

I also made some boxes for gift wrapping. I inked up some mini Magnolias and made the boxes with my score pal.
All the papers are Maja Design, and I used Magnolia Doohickey's snowflakes, tags, and spruce. Some lace pearls and flowers.

All ready to be filled!

Thanks for stopping by,
Wishing you a wonderful December weekend!

Christmas Wall hanger- just for fun!

Hello peeps!
I'm totally enjoying the season. Lighting the fireplace, playing Christmas music and escaping all the stress- just having fun making cards and things for people I love. It doesn't get better than that!

I inked up a couple of my favorite Christmas Maggies and made a Christmas wall hanger (sorry about the bad pic- I could not figure out how to get a good pic of the whole wall hanger in the winter-darkness, didn't fit in my photo tent...lol)

I used a spellbinder die for the shapes.
The images are colored with copic markers, and I used some swirl stamps on the edges. The ovals are coated with Rangers Utee, three layers. The utee gives the ovals a more solid look, and a softer color. I was inspired by this awesome tutorial at Copic Marker Norge.

Here's Tilda hiding gift. Copics used:
Skin: E13-11-21-00-000, Reds: R89-37-27-24-22-20, Greys: C5-3-1-00, Hair: E29-27-25-31, Package: E43-42-41, Shadows: W5-3-1-00
This sentiment stamp about Christmas, I got from Kreativ Hobby.

Tilda on Christmas ornament. I used the same colors on this one. The flowers are from WOC.

Midweek Magnolias #41 When the snowman brings the snow

Happy Hump Day, my dear followers and friends.
It's time for a new challenge over at the Midweek Magnolias! In the spirit of the season our challenge this week is:

When the snowman brings the snow!

Pop over to the Midweek Magnolias to see the beautiful creations of the rest of the DT and join in to win a fabulous gift from Magnolia in Sweden!
All you have to do is make a Magnolia creation with a snowman or snow-theme!
Can't wait to see your creations!

I found a tutorial for this Christmas Calendar on the Pion Design blog made by the talented  Marianne, and I was also inspired by the very talented Copic artist Gro to make this creation. I made it for my daughter, we use it every day to count the days until Christmas eve! Oh I love this season:)

I used Pion Design papers from the Silent Night 6 x 6 Collection, I used Angel's ChoirGuardian Angels and Nativity Scene. I used dies from Quick Kutz/ Lifestyle Crafts and spellbinders for the date tags. The pearls are from Melissa Frances.
The stamps are from Magnolia; I masked "Tilda with snow heart" with "Winter Forest" and I used "Tilda in christmas coat". I colored them with distress ink pads and markers.
I used two different Magnolia doohickey's: Snowflake and Spruce (tree)

The lid comes off, and the box is filled with small tags for December 1st.-24th.
I used the Pink Vintage Pearl brad , the Ash Rose Shabby Seam binding, The pink Rhinestone Lace, the Snowflake trim, a Bells charm and some dies to decorate it.

The trees- Spruce- and some of the edges are decorated with Snow Text, and I added some snowflake charms in spirit of this weeks theme.

Today's little tag: December 12th! I made the tags using QK and spellbinder dies. The numbers are from my old QK alphabet Olivia.
The snowflakes are covered with Diamond Dust to make them sparkle. This calender is also displayed on the LLC blog today in our Advent Calendar, it's behind window #12:)

Here's a peak at how it's made. You can find the tutorial HERE

I made this Christmas decoration
I cut a small piece of Pion Design Guardian Angel paper with a spellbinder, and put it on top of some lace and a square of jute fabric, on top of the currogated cardboard, the letters (Marry Christmas in Norwegian) are Maja Design Die Cut Letters from the It's Christmas Time Collection. I distressed the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink.

The flowers are the Mulberry Paper Poppies, the berries are the redly Magnolia Vintage Berries. The pins used are the chocolate and cream Vintage Pearl Pins and the Trinket Mini Heart Pins by Maya Road , the ribbon is the Gingham Ribbon "Burgundy"- perfect for Christmas decorations!
And of course i used the  Vintage Dress Form Clip.

This is Holly Tilda from the Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection.
I colored all three Magnolias with my Copics. Markers used:
Skin: E13-11-21-00-000, Hair (and tildas gift box): E47-44-43-42-41, Reds: R89-46-37-27-24-22-20, "White": W5-3-1-00, Green: G94-92-40

I'm not sure what this is called- Tilda on ornament from the 2010 Merry Christmas Collection? Anyways I love to color her!

This is Unwrapped Tilda from the So Jolly Collection.

It's time for a new challenge over at Anonyme Scrappere.
Please stop by the blog to see the challenge and to be inspired by the wonderful creations of the rest of the DT.

Jeg har laget enda en vin-tag. Har litt dilla på disse om dagen. Det blir noen vinflasker i smågaver til jul, og disse tag'ene gjør det så mye mer personlig.
***

I made another wine-tag for this challenge. I've been making a lot of these lately. I do give a few bottles of wine as small Christmas gifts, and I think the tags make the gift so much  more personal.

The picture and the papers are from Papirdesign AS, the flowers and white lace are from Kort og Godt, the red lace and the charms are from my stash. The snowflake and mistletoe dies are Magnolia Doohickeys. I also used a Martha Steward punch.

Sirkel diesen er fra Quick Kutz/ Lifestyle. Stempelet er fra Kreativ Hobby, perlene fra Melissa Frances.

The circle die is from Quick Kutz/ Lifestyle and the sentiment stamp is from Kreativ Hobby.
