Tag- Friendship is....

Hi peeps,

Hope you are enjoying the beautiful hint of summer. Love this time of year!
I wanted to show you a tag I made for Ett Trykk earlier this year. No colored image and no card this time...lol... can you believe it!?!

I made this (with a few minor adjustments) using a tutorial I found over at Tammy Tutterow's blog using her embossing powder resist technique. Thanks Tammy!

I cut a tag from white card stock and made the color using distress inks: Victorian Velvet, Dusty Concord and Walnut Stain.
The stamps used are by Stempelglede – swirls, sentiment and Magnolia - butterflies
I used  Live & Love Crafts' Shabby Seam binding and Bark Hearts and roses by WOC.
I also used Embossing ink, Frantage embossing enamel: Shabby White.

Step by step: Make the tag from white card stock. Then stamp the swirls using embossing ink. Next cover the tag using Frantage, shake off the excess powder, heat using a heat gun. Next color the tag using distress inks in different colors. The embossing will keep the swirls white! Then stamp on the butterfly and sentiment using waterproof ink.  See the fab tutorial over at Tammy's blog for detailed instructions with pictures.

Thanks for stopping by my blog this evening,
wishing you a creative week!

DT Ett Trykk: Romantic Giftbox

Hi Peeps, hope you are having a great weekend.

We celebrated our national day here yesterday and also the constitution is 200 years old this day. It was a big day for our little country. We had lovely weather and all the kids had a wonderful time. In Norway everybody dresses up in their best clothes, preferably the national costume. All the children march threw the streets with marching bands playing, waving their little flags and smiling. Then we all meet at the schools, spending time together with lots of games and fun and all the kids can have as many ice creams as they can eat...lol. We are so lucky to live in peace and I am so happy that we celebrate peace and freedom the way we do. We are truly blessed!

Now on to my project. This is a gift box I made for the april edition of Ett Trykk. I used a tutorial I found at Tara's Craft Studio made by the talented Tara Brown. Thanks!

The design papers are by Maja Design – Vintage Autumn Basic XI, XII, XV og VIII
To decorate I used butterflies from a Kort og Godt cut out sheet. Roses by WOC, Viva Decor perlen pen- great way to make pearls in the size and number you want, For the handles I usedTim Holtz: Hitch Fasteners.
I also used a Martha Stewart Vintage Doily punch and Memorybox - Whimsical Floral die

The box opens to both sides. Inside the box I used a Stempelglede sentiment: Happy Birthday.

Hope you like it!
